10,000 Birds Plus One New Beat Writer

Hey everyone,

You may have noticed a lack of posts lately, which was due to life getting in the way. However, things have settled down a bit, and instead of continuing to write for my own blog, I will now be one of the Beat Writers for 10,000 Birds – which, if you’re not already familiar with it, is a truly awesome birding site. Incredible photos, great nature writing, bird news, exotic trip chronicles, snarky commentary, and now, every other Friday, a post on bird rehab and all the fun and games that go with it. I will continue to send out email alerts when I blog, and simply direct you to  www.10000birds.com   Check out the site! And look up my first post, “When Good Kestrels End Up In The Gutter.”

Best to all —

Suzie

About suziegilbert

I live in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley and have been rehabbing birds for over twenty years. I’ve written a memoir about the slippery slope all rehabbers eventually slide down, called “Flyaway: How a Wild Bird Rehabber Sought Adventure and Found Her Wings,” published in 2009 by HarperCollins; and a children's book called "Hawk Hill," published in 1996 by Chronicle Books. I also write all kinds of freelance content. Please see my website, www.suziegilbert.com
